First, Jade has the property of cooling very fast. Jade is often found in cool temperature. Every time you warm jade with your hands, 30 seconds later, it will turn cool even in regular temperature surrounding.
Second, jade have a higher hardness than the steel. So when you use the knife to scratch jade on unconscious side, you can not find clear scratches on the real jade.
Third, jade is smooth in nature. If the surface looks smooth, you can try to run you finger on it. If you feel bumpy, the jade is fake.
Or you can do sound test to tell the real jade. Choose two bracelets made of glass. You can gently rub them against each other. Pay attention to the pitch of the sound. Then do the same with two jade bangles. If the sound made by the jade bangles larger, the jade bangle is real.
