Floating beaded necklaces are single or multiple strand necklaces with beads in different sizes scattering randomly on the chain. This casual style necklace seems to be floating around the wearer’s neck, thus achieving a unique effect. You can make a floating bead necklace by yourself. The following are some instructions.
1. Gather the material needed for making the necklace. This includes: three 22-inch strand (the material is decided by you), 27 black beads in various size (or any other color you like), a lobster clasp and pliers.
2. Set up a working place on a clean flat board. Put all the beads in a small container. Buy the glue that can fix the bead from you local store.
3. Now we will string the beads. For the first strand, select nine black beads randomly and string them on the strand. Locate the first and last beads ate 1/2 inch from the ends of the wire, and arrange the remaining seven beads at random distance along the strand.
4. After finishing the arrangement of all the beads, squeeze a dab of glue into each bead hole. Have the strand lay on the flat board. For the second and third strand, repeat the process to string the beads on. Leave the beaded strands there for a night.
5. The next day, you will find the beads glued into place on the strand. Take three strands at one end, and string through a crimp bead and a part of the lobster clasp. Pull the strands back and thread it again through the crimp bead. Crimp the crimp bead with pliers and cut the extra wires. To the other end of the strands, repeat the process to add another crimp bead and clasp.
Now you have finished the floating bead necklace. Here we make three-strand necklace in equal length. If you prefer multi-strand necklace clear layer levels, you can cut three strands at different length.
