Before dying, you should prepare a lot of tools, such as the Ivory soap, a nail file, dye powder and 2 teabags of salt. Then you can start your task. The first thing you should do is to clean the freshwater pearls gently with the Ivory soap, before dying the dirty materials must be cleaned off, or it make stay on the pearls for a long time, which may decrease the pearl luster of your freshwater pearls. The second process is to remove some of the finish to double check with the nail file gently, and air dry the freshwater pearls for approximately two hours. When the pearls are dry, you should then put the commercial dye powder and the prepared teabags of salt in the boiling water and stir it with something, such as a bar. This mixture can be used to give color. After preparing all the materials you can pour the prepared dye solution through a fine-mesh strainer or a clean coffee filter. Then the freshwater pearls should be put above the glass surface and help them to be dyed completely and uniformly, you can do this by lining the base of the glass pan with a paper towel. Keep in mind never try to put your pearls wherever you want, you should place them on the paper towel, which you have already prepared. The last step is to pour the dye solution into the glass pan gently, and keep the pearls immersed in the solution, according to the intensity of the color tone you desire; you can arrange your time.
