Weaving guide on hand making pearl necklace
2010-07-05 17:14:00
Use pearl beads and cotton weave thread to make a pearl necklace that will be the envy of all who see it. The necklace will add a splash of style to any outfit, and you can wear it with pride knowing you made it for yourself.
1. String a series of pearl beads onto jewelry thread with comfortable necklace size, leaving a small space between each bead. Fix a knot on the end of thread, and attach a necklace clasp or closure on the ends for wearing it.
2. Attach your crochet thread to one end of the necklace with a steel crochet hook, near the clasp. Make a slip stitch to attach, and then make one single crochet stitch on the end before any beads.
3. Make two chain stitches behind or over the first pearl bead, and then make a single crochet stitch in between the first and second beads. Continue this pattern across the necklace and then turn and work down the other side of the necklace as well.
4. When you go on weaving until you reach the starting point, join your yarn with a slip stitch and cut off your working end.
Now it’s time to wear your handmade pearl necklace to the party.
