Cleaning shoes has been a challenge for humans since we first covered our feet. But today we will give some advices on how to clean shoes in proper way and keep them in good condition. However, shoes are made from a variety of materials and your cleaning method will depend on what material your shoes are made from.
1. If your shoes are not made of leather, follow these steps. Warning: Don't do this with leather shoes or they will be ruined! First, get a good cloth and wrap around it around your hands like brass knuckles. use this to scrub away obvious dirt, mud and grime. Second, wash the cloth with a liberal amount of soap. Rub the soap all over the white part of the shoes. Third, get a stiff brush and brush all over the soap covered parts. Fourth, wash the soap off with a clean cloth.
2. If your shoes are made of leather, then follow the instruction please. 1) Remove the laces from the shoes, this ensures access to the tongue of the shoe. 2) Use the damp cloth to remove any dirt on the shoes and then leave the shoe to dry. 3) Using a soft brush or a cloth press it into the wax polish and then apply it to the shoe using a circular motion. 4) let the polish dry on the shoe for about 5 minutes, the shoe will become dull and faded looking. 5) Use the second brush or dry cloth to remove the excess polish and to buff up the shoe in a brisk forward backwards motion until the shoes look as good as the day you bought them.
Good, quality leather shoes should be polished once a month to preserve their life if they're worn regularly. As you would clean your dry cleaning items or other specialty wearables, clean and polish shoes whenever necessary. If shoes are worn seldomly, clean once per month and polish and shine only as needed.
And with the method mentioned above, you will make your shoes clean and can have a longer life.
